Entrepreneurship

Overview

In this course students learn how to be their own boss!  The course provides an overview of all the major areas of business including marketing, finance, communications, operations management, and law.  Projects and computer simulations are used throughout the year to help students select a business and develop a business plan for that business.

 

PREREQUISITE: None 

GRADES: 9-12

College Credit Course: All students may opt to take the University of Iowa’s Exploring
Entrepreneurship ENTR:1010 proficiency exam at the end of the course.

Students receiving a passing grade on the exam have until one year after high school graduation to apply for the credits and pay the $150 tuition fee to Iowa.

There is no fee for the proficiency exam, only if you'd like the credits.
